Endowed Scholarship

The 2012-2013 College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council members voted, unanimously, to give a $25,000 endowment to the Texas A&M Foundation in order to create the C.O.A.L.S. Council Scholarship. It was the intention of the Council to give back to students within the college and the first $1,000 scholarship was awarded to a continuing student for the 2013-2014 academic year. COALS Council generated enough funding to start awarding a second $1,000 during the 2020-21 academic year.

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Student Council established the COALS Council Scholarship in October 2012 through their $25,000 endowment to the Texas A&M Foundation. As representatives of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, council members sought to give back to students in a meaningful way. The scholarship shall be for the benefit of the students of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. It is the intent of this scholarship to be from the students to the students.
